Us Again

The days without you are hard to go by,
All I think of is you I want next to my side,
We started out friends but it was all pretend,
I can't take you not realizing this could be the end,

Since you've been gone I haven’t thought of anyone,
No one was as kind and caring or as fun,
I finally fixed the pieces of my broken heart,
From my last relation which tore me apart,

I’ve always been able to picture myself with you,
Many others have said the same thing too,
I fell for you more than a year ago,
You and I both know,

I cannot breathe when the tears stream,
Thinking this is only ever going to be a dream,
I’ve never heard you say you want to be with me,
This makes my fantasy harder to see,

It’s been so long from I felt like this last,
The memories of love all in the past,
Brought back up like the rain,
Now I wonder if there'll ever be an 'us' again.
