Now the time has risen
For this young girl to show her gift
Hoping her dad will see them
And his heart she hopes to lift

Bursting out in glory
Her bright light shone
Showing him her beauty
Which he thought she had none

A dazzling performance
The crowd were in tears
He saw the talent he had missed
After tormenting her all these years

A young star
Rising to fame
Although he missed the talent
He was there to acclaim

Chasing away the numbered fans
Knowing it isn't just a game
She took it all in
Knowing things won't ever be the same

She took a deep breath, tears glazing her eyes
She admired her strength and her priceless worth
God was with her all the way
From now on and since birth

This poem is about my dad and how he has tried to bring me down my whole life and now is my chance to fight back!!!
