My Three Shining Stars

Every time I turn around, I think of the three,
The ultimate trio that meant the most to me,
I call them the trinity, the triplets, the triad,
At one point in my life, they made me happy and sad.

My very first love, was the world to me,
To be with her, I would travel the ocean and sea,
Crossing any obstacle, defying everyone,
No one could stop me, I loved her a ton.

She was more than a spark, a falling star in the dark,
The one who would leave me with a tainted mark,
As all our cherished moments happened at night,
I was the dark tunnel, she was the luminescent light.

But there's hope, my second love,
My new pearly angel from above,
Different than the first,
We depart mutually, I am cursed.

But there's promise, my third love,
She was new, I didn't know what to think of,
Different than the second,
I say my final farewell as waves of love beckon.

Now I will always see three shining stars,
When I look out the window,
Even when I close my eyes,
They will appear from above and below,
Stuck in the mind of a captivated soul,
Can I ever fill my black hole...
