LABYRINTH

Trapped in a maze of unrelenting lies,
longing for escape from the thoughts in my own mind.
screaming in the silence, entangled in this web,
the only trace of truth hidden in it's silky threads.
i am the predator, killing, but also the prey.
i'll tear myself to pieces, should I remain another day.
running 'round each bend and turn in search of any light.
to find dead ends and dark emotions, to be all that's left inside.
