Secretly

As the clock ticks away
And times passes each day
The pain still remains
As happiness we can't obtain
As all the tears fall
And smiling means nothing at all
The fear is still there
That nobody will ever care
As lies become true
There's no one to help you through
And you don't want these memories anymore
You wish things were like before
As your life slowly fades
You think of all the mistakes you've made
All the people you've hurt
And those who treated you like dirt
When we've used all our luck and chance
On friendships and romance
Only to uneasily see
This is how it'll always be
Where happiness is far
From you are
And your biggest part of life
Is this unending strife
As these tears we once again cry
With no reason to why
To just let it all go
So later the pain won't show
In this stupid bathroom stall
Sitting against this wall
Trying to hide
What you keep deep inside
We cry these sad tears
Secretly like we have for years...
