Remind Me

by Wintersolstice   Jun 13, 2005

Trees with autumn leaves
Gold and orange and red
Fresh fruit and cool breezes
But I'd rather you instead.

Waterfalls running down mountains
Icicles coolly reflecting the light
Crisp winter with its snow days
But for you, rather fight.

Glistening, golden honey
Lights reflection through dew
Yellow wheat and sunsets
Are nothing compared to you.

Misty mornings and young foals
Spring lambs and the sunrise
Rabbits playing in the snow
Not magical enough for your eyes.

The real beauty in the world
Is everything you do
Jewels, stars and sunlight
All remind me of you.

Dedicated to MT (even though he doesn't deserve it)

Beautiful write! I absolutely loved this! Nice flow and beautiful descriptions. The imagery was enough for me not to mention the emotion pouring out of it!

The only suggestion I would make..(You’re the author...it's your call)...would be to take away all the commas after each sentence. I think that can some times take away from the flow and they aren’t really necessary.

    Very nice write!!

I dont think that the expression of love could have been worded any better. Magic and enchantment, beauty and peace....you would rather have the one you love. Touching!
