She Cuts Herself

by Charlotte   Jun 13, 2005

You call me up early in the morning
Its still dark outside
I'm exhausted and cranky
But I listen, red eyed

You got drunk again
And your parents found out
You sat and took the blame
As they continued to shout

But when they were done you got up
And you raced and got your knife
You cut into your flesh and spilled the blood
You wanted to take your own life

I thought that you had stopped
You told me you were done
But it turns out that when you said this
Your cutting had just began

You have done many times before
And it pains my eras to hear
This is all to real to me
It brings back all my fears

I pull back my own sleeve
As you sob into the phone
I stare into my own ugly scars
From when I felt alone

You mustn't go through what I did
I must make you stop
The pain doesn't help!
Just sheds more teardrops

This is all to real to me
I want to run, I want to hide
But what you need is a friend
One who's been there, one who's cried

Listen to me now and never forget
You must stop you must end
I will do all I can
For I am your best friend

*Please, any suggestions to help me.. I'm scared and I don't want her to die. Please.. I need help for her.

Dose your friend still cut?? This is a great poem by the Way, but did you get her to stop, or dose she still?

    Hey,

She cuts because SHE got drunk and her parents yelled at her for something that SHE did because it could have KILLED her. You need to realise this person is helpless, and most liely is looking for attention because of her self harm. I'm not saying she should die, but most people that commit suicide don't tell anyone about it, so it's probably all just an idle threat. There's nothing you alone can do about it. Tell her parents, they'll deal with it.

Anyways, the poem itself was really good, keep it up.

Well Maybe you should ask your friend.-- She does trust you. She should want help. Tell her what you are telling me. Tell her how much you care about her, and that you are afraid she's going to hurt herself too bad. sorry I g2g'

ok, I know exactly what you're going through. So many of my friends have, and I was put in your friend's situation. Two weeks ago, I ended up slicing my stomach 54 times. A nurse saw them and counted and called my mom. Getting help may seem scary, but belive me. I have tried to stop on my own before. You make many empty promises just so people will think that you're ok. You may think you're not gonna do anything, but you find your mind wandering back to the blade. Its really hard. And you know that from personal experience, too. You need to help your friend GET help. In whatever way you can. Obviously she trusts you and knows that you are there for her. Stay by her side, but don't forget that there are people there for you, too. My problems was that I put everyone else before me, and in the end I was helping them but hurting myself. DOnt forget about you. Awesome poem. ITs a 5. You also made a spot on my favorites. If you wanna talk...get a hold of me. I'm here for you. Im getting help for myself, too. Good luck with everything. Love always,
    Lyndsey
