Before it's too Late

by Lithium   Jun 17, 2005

Take your last embrace,
Seal it with a kiss,
Bottle it up,
Keep it safe,

Take me home,
While I’m open to you,
Have my heart and my hand,
I want you to hold,

I’d drink poison,
To ensure you’d forever be happy,
I’d slit my wrists,
So no one would ever hurt you,

To be by your side,
Each and every year,
Would comfort my,
Fears of you never coming back,

You’re leaving everyone you love,
Next year to join the army,
I only hope,
You won’t leave and fall to the above,

To handle a pain like this,
I would not be able,
If I cry now writing about it,
If it shall happen, I will be right behind you,

Even as friends,
I will still follow you up,
I wouldn’t want you to be lonely,
Let alone left waiting alone,

If I find you limp,
With warm lips,
I’ll reach for a knife,
And end my life,

I say this now,
Because I want you to know,
Wherever you go,
I will follow,

So if this be the last kiss,
The last sight,
The last touch,
The last embrace,

Take it now, before it’s too late.

Dedicated to Mark.
