My Dear Loving Mother

by Sarah Ann   Jun 23, 2005

Mom she will never know this or understand
When was in trouble she held out her hand
So that I can take hold of it, and to follow by
Now I feel so grateful, with tears in my eyes

What else could I say about my loving mother
She took care of us all fine, unlike any other
My mommy stood strong while living in hell
She was always there everyday to wish us well

If I ever had a problem, she knew and was there
My mother helped me, she showed that she cares
If I was crying, no matter what the time or place
My mother came to dry the tears from my face

She is who makes up all the things I feel today
I love her for caring just enough along the way
She always believed, when my faith was on low
Always helping me in the right directions to go

Mom always wears a smile, but deep in her heart
She is sick and her world is slowly falling apart
I appreciate her more than she could ever realize
For will always be the biggest hero in my eyes

For she brought me laughter when I was in tears
Helped me to grow strong throughout my years
Now that she is very ill, my life is in a big fall
God please help me…I don’t want to lose it all

Every night I pray that she will make it through
Oh dear god, now I have one question for you
From all the people on earth you chose to suffer
Why did you choose my dear loving mother?

A very emotional poem, and the feelings were portrayed very well. I'm glad that you have a strong and loving mother, and I too hope that she pulls through. This was an excellent poem.
