Lost Memories

by Chad   Jun 24, 2005

Listening to the rhythms of life.
I can hear echos form the past.
Memories are dim, but I still know.
Alone, with the heavy silence of loss.
All my unseen and unheard thoughts.
History pushes it's way into the present.
One day melts to the next.
But the shadow of the past still hangs over me.
My mind tells me one thing and me heart whispers another.
Searching for answers on the forgotten trails.
I'm the depths of the human heart.
Lost in thought in the empty silence.
I take a journey through my memories.
Uncovering the secrets of the unhappy truth.
Buried in the long forgotten past.
Hidden somewhere in the spaces of my mind.
Weaving a future form the tangled past.
This is lost memories.

Hmm...unusual poem, but I found this line to stand out over all else...

One day melts to the next.

a unique way to percieve one day to the next.
