Parents...Leave Me Alone!

Now that I am an older teenager
My parents are being such a drag
“You skirts too short, hair’s a mess
Your shoes don’t match your bag”

I don’t care about what they say
I just want to live the ways I can
This life is too short to be waiting
To be living off on any new plans

“Oh that is way too much make-up”
They still won’t get off of my case
“You aren’t walking out like that”
But I just want leave this old place

I know that they are trying to care
But by now I feel so sick of it all
They are always saying things like
“Those heels make you very tall”

These parents are just so annoying
I can’t wait to be out on my own
They are always calling my name
When I am talking on the phone

Why can’t they let me live my life
Without interfering in things I do
I am sure when they were young
They were acting just like me too

Hey now I’m so late for my party
Before mom sees me I better run
“Hunny did you clean your room”
Lying, “Yes mother I been done”

Now as I run out of the door I hear
“Dear please cover up your chest”
I will only be living this young once
So I will make it my definite best
