A better place

A better place

Every night I fall asleep,
Wishing I was dead
Thinking of a better place,
Somewhere to rest my head

You wonder why I cry,
As you watch the dead life fall
It’s soon to be my blood,
Splattered on your bathroom wall

Everyday I wander,
Alone in this bath of tears,
Crying out my pain,
Washing away my fears

My fingers on the trigger,
This gun is in my hand
Because every waking,
Moment is another I can’t stand

I see you in my mind,
This the last breath I will breath
And my finger flinches
This is the only way you will believe

My lifeless form, falls from earth
As my pain just lifts me higher
Just one more thought to hold you close,
That my last desire.
