Rain on my slanted windows.

by Wintersolstice   Jul 5, 2005

So it’s late once more,
Three? Four? I can’t tell for sure.
Must wait out dreads weight,
Stay steady, become ready?

Rain on my slanted windows.

Confused thoughts, restless,
Oh deep agony, so relentless,
But stop. Taunting whisper stop,
Im too tired to plead.

Rain on my slanted windows.

Salty clear streaks, on my cheeks,
Flitting and weaving, choosing,
Pausing momentarily, resting?
HA! Lucky them.

Rain on my slanted windows.

Point? Purpose. Hope-for what?
All I want is...all I NEED is...
URGH!!! Sobbing now, exhausted,
CEASE RAIN! I can’t…ask…again.

Rain on my slanted windows.

Why do you mock me?
Why must you mimic my tears?
Sorrow is a soulless thing indeed,
Its bitter bite-like…frozen rain.

Rain on my slanted windows.

    "Must wait out dreads weight,"
weight is a noun, so I think you meant "dread's" to indicate ownership

    "CEACE RAIN! I can’t…ask…again."
    'CEASE' not 'CEACE'

I really really enjoyed this poem. it's stream-of-consciousness prose and repitition definitely made me feel like I was going crazy while I was reading it.
