Waste of time

Life is just a waste of time
full of hurt betrayal and pain
why wait until tomorrow
when the confusion starts again

love is just a waste of time
somebody always puts you down
telling you, you are their everything
only to leave you dying on the ground

promises are just a waste of time
only words that are broken
everyone goes back on their words
it would hurt less if they had not spoken

dreams are just a waste of time
with no one to push you along
how can you possible succeed
with no ones love to make you strong

friendship is just a waste of time
their personalities are so fake
people only care about themselves
they just take and take and take

family is just a waste of time
when they are nothing like you
they act like strangers at times
they have turned their backs on you too

future happiness is a waste of time
because surely something will take that away
there is always someone that flicks the switch
and takes the light out of your day
