Smear

by undying blusher   Jul 20, 2005

Standing in front of her enemy
Facing her reflection
Caused the tears now flowing
Every time she tried to sustain herself
Drops kept sliding
Mascara continued to smear
She starts to blot the ruin, but it only worsens
So she rubs hard and tries desperately to make it go away
Alas, a tissue has no magic power; a tissue cannot erase
Once the makeup is washed away
Her features remain on her pale, pink face
She cannot be erased
She is not erasable,
As she wishes
That is one dream that will never come true
Nor will the others that linger
Apparently she’s not worth even the slightest miracle God could
give her

Great poem! Left me pondering for a while, and left a great image in my mind, of trying to fit in, but cant fit in like another brick in the wall... Im relating to; "Once the makeup is washed away
Her features remain on her pale, pink face
    She cannot be erased
    She is not erasable,
As she wishes".... Not sure if that was what you meant by the poem, but anyhow, i thought it was excellent. Kind regards from Kane
