It's Only A Matter Of Time...

I'm tired of this tired and painful feeling
This that has left my broken heart reeling
On the floor I stay praying while kneeling
Wanting to stop all this hurt and bleeding

I hide my tears and all my pain
Behind a broken smile and skies of gray
I watch as I slowly lose all I have gained
To the sands of time and winds of change

I fear I'm losing and as such
I feel as though I'll lose so much
I can't mend what's broken and crushed
For with my soul I've lost all touch

I smile even through my tears
In hopes that none will see these fears
My thoughts grow confusing and so unclear
As the time for loosing draws so painfully near

    Try using more physical things to describe what your talking about. This poem seemd to be bogged down slightly with too much talk about feelings and intangible ideas. If you can use things that relate to the senses to describe these things it makes your writing more powerful.
