Awake

by William Flores   Mar 21, 2007

[Wake]
Wake and feel the world
Through your crystal pearl
The treasures of the sky
Unlock with the curious eye

Beyond the walls of the soul
See the warmth through the cold
See this life as a whole
And see the sea and it's gold

Put your faith and all your being
In your writings for all to see
Put your faith and all your being
Drown your fears into the sea

[Wake]
Wake and watch the mocking bird
Fly through the subordinate word
Cautious as he tries to apply
And the norm defiantly defy

Beyond the walls of those that control
See the warmth through the cold
See this life as a true whole
See the sea and it's bright gold

Put your faith and all your being
In your writings for all to see
Put your faith and all your being
Drown your fears into the sea

[Wake]
Wake and see the tainted crystal blues
The blue, the yellow, and dimmed colors too
Feel life's hands and it's eternal glues
Grab you and mend you... then cut you in two...

NOW WAKE
Wake and feel the world
Bleed the rivers to dry sands
Watch the darkness of the sky
Blind and blind the curious eye
Untill it burns from all the lies

WAKE
Feel the weight of this soul
Embrace it's own burning cold
Taint the world with black and gold
Rot with sickness and turn to mold

Awake and see this life through yours
As its seen through his bloody pores
Turn the birds to wretched crows
Cry the blood that spilled from gores

Light the fire
[To bury this glow]
Twist the dagger
[Into this heart]
Bleed the darkness
[To consume it all]
Turn these skies
[To hell's gates]
As demons' ash
[View the souls]
Cry to broken pasts
[Batter themselves]
With shattered glass
[Burn these bridges]
That lead to broken hearts

Awake from your own poor soul
[Awake]
See that its never been this cold
[Awake]
The signs point to this holy spell
[Awake]
Cursed and sentenced to this holy hell
[Awake]
Wake and see the unfulfilled
[Awake]
Through the cracks that was drilled
[Awake]
Watch the red in chaotic confusion
[AWAKE]
Drink this cesspool to frozen-still

Awake to this nightmare tonight...
