A Broken Past.....

Skattered pieces of shattered glass
Dark reflections of a broken past
Frozen images of a soul falling fast
Not knowing how long his torrment will last

Looking up at a lonely star
Sensing a dark presence in his lonely heart
He clenches his fists and closes his eyes
Fighting back all the tears from all the lies

Pain and sorrow cuts deep into his soul
His broken heart stops beating and grows cold
Walks a lonely rode with stories untold
Feeling the pain of his forgotten lonely soul

So onward he walks on this broken rode
Never mending nor ever feeling whole
Shards of glass cloud his emotionless vision
As he stumbles down this cold and lonely rode
