A Blue Rose

by William Flores   Jul 21, 2005

In a desert wasteland of fear and despair
There grew a blue rose that had much love to share

Standing tall with her hazel green eyes
She waited for love as she looked at the sky

Counting the minutes she stood all day
And waited for someone who would brisk her away

The seasons changed and ran their course
Yet still no prince charming nor his white horse

Still the blue rose stood tall and firm
Very determined to make her heart learn

As seconds became minutes and minutes became hours
The blue rose's heart grew more sour and sour

Warm kindness turned to bitter sweetness
As she felt her heart start beating with weakness

As the blue rose began to cry
Her eyes turned pale, reflection of the gray sky

All alone she felt one day
Nothing inside her except for dismay

Was she not worthy of being loved?
Was she destined to never be loved?

And just as she was down to one last breath
Down came prince charming to rescue from death

He took the blue rose who had much love to share
Far, far away from that desert of despair

Together they rode on prince charming's white horse
As the blue rose smiled and said, "there really was hope"

And so the blue rose learned that true love was not a matter of worth
But a matter of heart, which came from deep inside of her

Pretty good story. It is better to put it into a story like this than to write specefic experiences cause it gets more people who can relate.
