Shadows Within

by Jemma   Jul 21, 2005

Your eyes are blazing through me
Can you now forgive me?
Can our lives now begin?
Now you’ve seen my shadows within

The molten metal of my moulded heart
Forced to love a poison dart
Forced to plead before I sin
Hiding in my shadows within

The light has cast a silhouette
Making places love hasn’t reached yet
I feel your fiery fury under my skin
You’re lighting the shadows within

I’m fleeing the flames, hurtling through walls
Hopelessly dreaming I can escape your calls
I am falling over forgotten debris
Forgotten secrets in the shadows within me

It can be quite telling to reach back to the earlier works of a poet.......so......I reached Waaayy back........
Once we have looked these 'secrets' in the eye.....they are secret no longer..they are then.... something else ......
I do appreciate your inner landscape......scary but promising....good show!
