Meant to be

I hated life, thought it was cruel
I thought I was a nobody, a fool
I thought about ending my life
Even got out the kitchen knife
But I didn't do it, something held me back
Then I met you, and it hit me, WHACK!
I was saved for you, and you for me
Instantly I knew, we were meant to be
And now we are, and as happy as ever
And the thought of suicide? Ha! Never!
