My Contempt

by Christopher Liau   Jul 24, 2005

You walk around as if all is well,
Seeing this makes my anger swell.
Did you not hear what I had to say?
Oh, I forgot! You are right anyway.

You laugh and joke but all the while,
I hold contempt when I see you smile.
Were you awake when all just happened?
Were you asleep, or have you forgotten?

Your childishness makes me pity you,
You shout and stamp like a fool.
Nothing is ever your fault! Is it!
Change it around, make your arguments fit.

Your excuses are as plain to see,
Shut your mouth, listen to me.
Stop blaming others and look within,
Maybe then you can repent your sin.

Grow up for once and act your age,
Take the advice given by the sage.
Start to learn and then, maybe,
I'll start to think about a "you and me."

Wow...if she didn't hear what you were saying then she's an idiot. Very well written. Blunt but so nicely put...I love the last stanza...Excellent ending... :)

It sounds a bit harsh, but I absolutely adore the last line.

At first I thought you were yelling at a friend, but I like the surprise in the ending.

I have no complaints for this one.
