Dear friend

by Patrik   Jul 27, 2005

Dear friend,
I can see your pain,
But please tell me if he hits you again.

Dear friend,
He's your father,
But why do you even bother?

Dear friend,
I know it's hard,
But walk out that door and leave a card.

Dear friend,
I know you're weak,
I might have the solution you seek.

Dear friend,
He's your father but I won't care,
If he hits you again I'll set off like a flare.

Dear friend,
That's the final straw,
He did it again and broke the law.

Dear friend,
Just leave the room,
I'm introducing your father to his doom.

Dear friend,
Come here and let me hold you tight,
You have nothing to fear this night.

If he hits you again I'll set off like a flare.' Doesnt flow like the rest of it

Patrik thank you for taking the time to look at my poems it was greatly appreciated. This poem was quite a serious subject and just from reading the words I think maybe you had someone close go through this ......... I think you wrote a lovely poem with a lot of feeling and heart even though it was a sore subject.

    take care Lisa
