Departure

by Jemma   Jul 28, 2005

Tear drops falling from the sky
I know now that I’m waiting to die
Fiery dewdrops escape from my gaze
I’m lost in ancient, anxious ways

Now do you wish we had spoken more?
Wish you’d not felt as need to settle a score
Blinded by a mesh of sound
Lying stunned, your head to the ground

Pages are turning though windy gusts
After all you thought you had me sussed
Now that it’s over and I’m all alone
Staring into a direction unknown

Sinking, falling, growingold
Seeking the knowledge of what’s been foretold
Lost in the seas of azure tears
Too much heartbreak and too many fears
So my friend
I’ve met my end
No more need to pretend
