Waiting, Wishing, Promising *TO MARY*

Even though you’re miles away.
There’s something our hearts have no problem trying to say.
We always promised we’d be best friends forever.
But who knew that we wouldn’t be here together?

There may be distance between,
But the words I say I truly mean.
Don’t give in, don’t even cry.
For there’s a reason and I’m telling you why.

The memories are like a video inside our heart.
When it ends it replays back to the start.
The things we learned, the promises we made.
The friendship only we share, I would never trade.

Our way of living might occasionally change.
But not so much that our friendship could be given a name.
No labels are given to us.
For all the people know how much we do trust.

Don’t give up, keep your head high.
Fulfill your dreams, fly to the sky.
I may not be within your eye sight.
But I am there by your side each day and night.

Together we share one big smile.
For the world to see all the while.
The distance means nothing for I’m always with you.
Don’t worry my friend, these words are true.

We will meet again no matter how far away.
I am always watching over you every single day.
I protect you from harm, I am there wherever you may be.
Remember me and the memories, even if you can’t see.

We will meet again I know my friend.
My love to you I would like to send.
But, right now I don’t know where you are.
So, I’ll continue to wish upon each star.

I’ll always be waiting here, its not silly, although it seems.
I made a promise to you and I’ll forever keep it inside.
