It was all Pretend

by Lithium   Aug 3, 2005

Moonlight shines upon the crest of waves,
My love for you has been blind for many days,
A sweet flower blooming outside my window sill,
Mine hearts wishing needing to be fulfilled,

The sunsets glowing on the horizons mountain,
Angels calling from beyond a rainbow your name,
Stars sparkling a crystal clear,
Like your eyes have never shed a tear,

I’m the beat of your heart,
The thoughts that do not depart,
The scars that don’t heal,
And the emotions you feel,

I’m the wind in the air,
I’m the one that does care,
I’m your crying shoulder to lean,
As I have always been,

Not another girl to pass by,
Not another spirit that shall die,
Not a memory that will fade,
A lasting impression of you I’ve made,

The words that I say come purely from within,
Intensifying love, tell me that is no sin?
It started as one thing now I can’t end,
What I thought was real, turned out to be pretend.

Dedicated to Michael.
