Liars

They lie to you from the day you are born,

They say you're
Beautiful,
Intelligent,
Talented,
When your not.

They lie about always being there,
loving you,
believing in you,
and that you are the best thing in there lives.
When all they want
is to be alone,
forget responsibilities.

They want to spend their hard earned cash on,
world trips
fast cars
beach resorts

instead of

ballet classes
soccer lessons
private schools

They lie when they say
"You can be anything you want, and
We'll still love you."
But they control your lives.
"My son the lawyer"
"My daughter the brain surgeon"
not
"My son, freelance artist"
"My daughter struggling actor"

You're just another possession to show off.

The worst part is....
You'll grown up
became an adult, a parent.
You will be just like them.

You liar!

What a unique perspective. I never thought about parents like that. I don't think that they are trying to lie though. I think that they do see us as beautiful, smart and talented. Great job!
