Trust

by Naomi   Aug 9, 2005

Trust, a feeling of certainty.
Only some hold the key.
Confidence in people.
Shouldn’t be stepped on like a beetle.

It should be taken and kept in a safe place.
Some obviously don’t have the space.
Abused trust.
Should disgust.

But the untrustworthy don’t understand that.
They’re just abominable rats.
Identifying the vulnerable.
Then they begin to nibble.

Eating to the core.
Until you’re suspicious no more.
That’s when you realise you’ve been stupid.
That’s when you realise you have to get rid.

i like the second two verses, cos they step away from the rhyming and that makes more sense, but in the first two it kinda feels abit like the poem is ruled by the rhyme, if u see what i mean? Still good tho...n so true
