Engraved Hearts

by Poetic Tragedy08   Aug 11, 2005

Hiding in dark
With crying scars
Praying to god
For burnt out stars

No more light
I don't want my eyes
Then after that
I will no longer cry

My inside cuts
Are deeper today
Because slowly
You're drifting away

The burning tears
Of a saddening thought
Where you always said
"I love you alot"

Your note always said
I'll love you always and forever
Hardening tears
When we were together

Now that you're gone
And we've split into two
My hearts engraved these words
"I'll always miss you"

Thats so sad, I know how hard it is to go through a brakeup. Anyway, this is a really good poem. I can't find anything wrong with it...Great work

That's really depressing. *hug* I'm sorry... I liked this piece, because you really unleashed your feelings here (which is cruical to poetry - poems without feeling are just words on paper). Great job.

okay that was very well written, I liked how your stanzas were short but oh so powerful.

the ending was great i loved the engraved part, the only other thing I say other than the flow rocked is that this line "And split to two" could be changed to flow better and maybe be easier to read the stanza..maybe change "to" into "into"?

    Just a thought.

Holy cow! This poem rocks. I read quite a few of yours. I love how well your poems flow. Your emotion is portrayed so well. You can get your thoughts in a beautiful flowing melody of rhymes. That is something a lot of people have a hard time with. You are so talented. Dont give up poetry. You are truly gifted. Great write! 9/5! (lol I wish) Keep up the talent!
