Reflection in a broken glass

by Elynnka   Aug 12, 2005

She sits alone in her room, surrounded by dark,
Her mind is tortured, her feelings torn apart…
The cold wind blows through the open window, autumn in near,
She’s staring empty counting… one second, one thought, one tear…

The pale moon shines upon her jaded face,
Her silhouette reflected… angel fallen from grace.
Pre-mature inner death provoked by treachery,
Never to know why her life is bound to misery…

Abandoned again in pain… no one cares,
No one ever really sees, but everyone stares…

The pain bottled up inside slowly turns to hate,
You can stop trying now for it’s too late…
Her mind… her thoughts… are drown in pain again,
The shadow on the wall is her only friend…

She tries to fall asleep… to rest and to forget
All that happened today and all the pain she felt…
Her nightmares won’t leave her at rest… won’t go away,
They’re here to torture her each and every day…

Look closely and see… her reflection in a broken glass,
The struggle deep inside… and the pain never to pass…
