Another Secret

Behind all these smiles
Behind all these tears
Is a girl just wanting help
From all the loneliness through the years

she was born into a family
of drugs and alcohol
never taught right from wrong
she knew her life would fall

this life became normal though
like everything was alright
she got used to all the beatings
that ached lying awake at night

but her school was different than home
everyone thought she was the best
never had a second thought
of her life needing rest

but soon she couldn’t take it
all this pressure on her back
having to support her mom and dad
and never letting her studies lack

so now the story ends
she could not take no more
suicide was her last hope
her secrets evermore
