Angels Meant To Be

Once upon a time there was an angel in the clouds.
Fly down to earth, this was not allowed.
With broken wings she still could fly.
Even when the tears dripped down her cheeks and she didn’t know why.

She was in heaven and it still came as a surprise.
For everyone could see her pain when they looked into her tear stained eyes.
She was beautiful but she was broken.
All because there were words left unspoken.

She was in love and she still is today.
He may not be with her but she always finds a way.
A way to see him, she’s always watching from above.
For he needs to know that this angel is in love.

She may cry and she may not speak.
For without him, this angel is weak.
But with a love so true and a love so great.
She still holds on and she still waits.

When he joins her and gets reunited with his girl.
They will dance and they will twirl.
They’ll finally fly together so innocent and so pure.
For they are meant to be, angels I’m sure.
