Lonely Nights

by Dani Ward   Aug 21, 2005

Cold and lonely nights
always i lay alone
there's never anyone to hold me
more and more my heartache's grown
i see you there across the room
as the teacher drones on
an endless oblivion consumes me
and all reality is gone
i dream of the way things are
and of how they could be
a sharp ring pulls me back
into my bleak reality
later i see you again
though you're nowhere near
as i lay alone at night
from the darkness images leer
i shall ask you to prom
and take things from there
either we'll both end up happy
or my heart will tear

i wrote this while being a cashier at the Dairy Bar, cause i was bored

LoL. Had to add that last little bit, eh? Anyway, I know who this is about... I think. I should... you've told me so many times.

Anyay, the poem itself seems a little lacking... I mean, if you plan to give this to her, you might want to add more to it. Just a thought.
