When Opposites Attract

by lisa marie   Aug 25, 2005

What is happiness?
Who defined friends and foes?
Some old drunk nobody,
With sad tales of woes?
Or all the birds flying south?
With nothing else better to do,
Than to ramble on about
How the world should change
Or how the meaning of strange
Is far from our actual thought
But who is to say what is weird
When individuality is conforming and feared
We look ridiculous compared to animals
Who in reality are far more intelligent
By living off what they're given
And understanding the earth around them
We don't need to know why we are here
Or exactly how the world started
We're all over run with extra information
But we are just people and we can all dance
Weather the rabbits want us to or not
And i promise you that I'll meet you
On the other side of the rainbow
When the world suddenly ends
Leaving behind the sun and clouds
On account of people destroying
What isn't ours and what will never be
And together with the birds and bees
Flowers, mammals, and trees
We'll discuss intelligence
And it's counter part
Happiness.

Good poem... However -I do this but I'm fixing all my poems - the capitals at the begining of each line get a bit annoying... and if it's a question, then it should end in a question mark!? And also using commas helps break the poem a bit better making it easier to read
however it's your own style and i can't tell you what to do... and half the time i do the same thing!

    Pretty well written!
