Live Within Your Dreams

by lisa marie   Aug 25, 2005

There's a story of a sad man
Who died some odd years ago
Following his dreams
A broken man if you will
With no friends or family

This man lived down by the sea
In one a bedroom mangled shack
Searching for a way to never turn back
To the pressures of the world
To be the perfect man

He laid around at 5 O' clock every single day
To re-write his life in some other way
Chasing his dream and reminiscing
But his dreams were always missing

Never appeared in the story in his head
That was told every single day
In every possible way
At 5 O' clock in his dying bed

But this sad man lived for his dreams
That he could never find
Constantly moped around unsatisfied
And always painted beautiful screams

Wrote with words nobody knew
Dreamt with colors nobody could see
Lived a person nobody could be
And played music in waves of blue

But was stuck without a dream
Or a story to tell all the happy people
Who silently stood around a steeple
Waiting for a moving tale by Mr. Dreese

So nobody knew this sad man
Or how his life began
All they knew is that he died
Some years ago outside

Beside a note in black ink
That read "live within your dreams"
And he died an 80 year old sad man
Who constantly ran after dreams

Extremely well written but so very sad. Never lose sight of your dreams. Keep up your writing and don't give up as you have talent.

    Warm regards,
