Drive

by Clark Jacobs   Aug 30, 2005

Wake up to another dawn
Look out at the stars
My motivation long gone
But then again when has it ever been

The air gets colder
As I get to my car
And just drive
I just want to go so far

Because what I’ve left here
Is nothing but a bag of memories
That I wish would just disappear
Memories of a longing long forgotten

Drive just Drive
Leave it so far behind
It’s dying and it won’t revive
But I’ve got to try

Day turns to Night
And I’m still going
I can feel it now
What I left long ago is growing

I can feel its touch
I can see it clearly again
And it’s not much
But it’s a start
