Lost In The Wind

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Sep 2, 2005

Darkness settles in the night sky, black.
Voices cry in my ear, pleas lost in the wind.
Begging for one last chance, begging for life.
Human forms dance in the distance, shadows.

Names of deceased stare back at me, emotionless.
Corpses lay deep down under my steps, ridgid.
Tears cried in their name, drowned in the wind.
Flowers set in rememberance decorate sorrowful graves.

Laid to rest, their pleas carried with the wind.
Restless, they scream for the life they once had.
Desperate, they pray for a second chance.
Restless, they lay, buried six feet under.
