Bitter Winds of Eternity...

by Eibutsina   Sep 3, 2005

Not just now, but always, time and again
One must step back and stare reality in the face
Turn to within for some self-realisation
And inevitably seek to discover
That anything and everything in life comes to an end.
Sometimes coming with tragedy and trauma
At others a breath of relief
Logically conclusions cannot be avoided
Unfortunately no relationship can escape the wrath of time
It takes its old but firmly planted hands
Around each connection and chokes the existence out of them
And just as the predetermined fate of bitter time
You and I have reached our limit
It is with heart filled regret that harsh words
That by the rules of time
Can never be retracted nor rewound, were spoken
What is done is just that
Neither of us is able to undo
What we did say
Was said and is never to be reversed
What you and I had has been swept away
Swept away with the bitter winds of eternity.

I like giving ppl advice. But i do hit poems where it really doesn't need advice and i learn from it. Great job and such a wide variety of vocabulary words. Bravo!
