Closer

Heart beats like the fluttering of a butterfly wings
A mournful song in the distance sings
Trapped inside, just trapped inside
No where to turn, no where to hide
This Endless maze
Intoxicating fog and haze
No escape
A mysterious shape
Held prisoner in my mind
There is an answer that I must find
So insecure
Of my existence im not even sure
No control, just pulled along
Just forced to listen to this deadly song
I cant handle this confusion
Is everything I see and illusion?
I feel like im all alone...all alone
with nothing but an eerie drone
Everything is caving in
Feel my surroundings start to spin
Im going in circles, round and round
Feeling faint, hit the ground
Banging on the walls
Everything around me crumbles and falls
Falling, forever falling
Death is calling
Falling deeper, no way out
My escape I seriously doubt
Cut off from the outside world
With no hope that this will be unfurled
Forced to roam my mind
Constantly deceived, becoming blind
Against my will
But even though I am here still
Hello is anyone there?
Trapped inside my nightmare
Hello can you hear me?
Where are you I cant see?
Am I alone in this empty place?
Is there even a mindless zombie race?
Claustrophobic
Catastrophic
Silent tears
A demonic creature rears
I cant give in- give in to what?
What this is I know not
Give in to myself- give into madness?
All the sorrow and the sadness
Trying to find a reason
Feeding my hungry demon
Sucking the life out of me
Someone hear my plea!
Feeding off my pain
Tightly locked in this chain
My heart pounds in my head
Im surprised im not dead
Im going nowhere
But if I did it would still be there
I wish that it would just go away
My sanity is starting to rot and decay
Along with my youth..
Closer...closer the truth...

This is a poem that I wrote while listening
to anathema- closer and this is all about
how I was feeling as I was listening to it
