Black Saddle

When u went away it felt like forever,

Till the day we'd be together.

I stayed here, trying to cope,

Willing myself not to loose all hope.

I longed to feel those loving arms,

Always, they protected me from harm.

The pain I felt, I could not endure,

I sobbed as I fell onto your floor.

I longed to see my prince's face,

Knowing, it never to be the case.

I dreamed of you a fort night past,

Willing that night would last.

I prayed for your safety far away,

Return to my love, one day.

The dream I had, now so faded,

My beauty is now far outdated.

So long ago I got the letter,

We could never be together.

You died with honor, deep in battle,

You fell lifeless from a black saddle.

At night I feel you brush my skin,

I wonder where you have been.

I hear your voice upon the wind,

Telling my broken heart to mend.

I sing to you, can u hear?

Your love still takes away all fear.

I wish no longer to feel this pain,
My tears flow as if bloody rain.
I will join u this very hour,
Once the poison has reached full power.

Now we shall be together,
The perfect chance for our forever.
