Overcome

Sometimes I wish that I were dead,
To escape the thoughts inside my head.

But recently I came to see,
How important this could be.
Everything that I have learned,
Could somehow have those tables turned.

Everything that I can feel,
Only teaches me how to deal.

All the hell that I've been through,
Pushes me farther away from you.
Torment that burns me inside,
Forces me to run and hide.
The only way I can control,
Is to allow it take its toll.
Lie face down inside the pain,
Knowing its not in vein.

One day I will overcome,
It will add up one equal sum.
I know I will make it my life,
I will be able to handle strife.
I will see the big picture here,
I will no longer know fear.
