My little hero

by shawn hoskins   Sep 15, 2005

She just got the letter today, saying her son had passed away.there was nothing that she could do, to keep the tears from falling from her eyes, she dropped the letter as the pain set inside, he was just eighteen, her little hero sent to a war at ground zero,he left her with a hug and one last i love you, she never knew this would be the last time she ever would see her little matthew, she finds the strength to get up from the floor, putting the letter in her drawer, she pulls out his picture and holds it tight, wishing he was coming home tonight, but she knows he's gone forever, she kisses his picture and says I love you, you'll always be my hero, my dearest little matthew.
