Just Like A Glass Window

by Chelsea   Sep 18, 2005

The creaking of the swings slowly puts her to sleep.
She puts on a smile to hide all she’s weeped.
To everyone around she’s as happy as can be.
But she can only be alone for a tolerable degree
Sitting next to everyone, all so in love.
The pain she is feeling is undreamed of.
She wants to cry out with tears running down her face.
But instead she decides to stay in her own little place.
No need to make a scene, nothing can be done.
Trying not to attract attention to herself, let’s just have some fun.
Laughing and joking trying to be strong.
Smiling like nothing could ever be wrong.
She feels so transparent. Just like a glass window.
A glass window, that no one cares to look into.
