3 parts of life

by Katlynn   Sep 21, 2005

I Came Into This World.
Nothing To Know.
Nothing To Think.

I Walk Along My Path.
Dark Roads.
Rocky Roads.
Light Roads.

I Take Each Road.
To End Up What I Could Do.

The Dark Road.
Takes Me To A place.
It's Wet And Dark.
That's When I Start To Cut.

I Ran.
And Got On To The Next Road.

The Rocky Road.
Takes Me To A Place.
It's Tough And Strong.
That's When I Have To Learn.

I Ran.
And Got On To The Next Road.

The Light Road.
Takes Me To A Place.
It's fallen In Love And Wisdom.
That's When Everything Is Put Together.

My Life Comes Out.
Of The Roads Shadows.
Of Everything I Have Today.

I like this poem, but it could use some rhyme. Other then that I liked the way you split the sections of life up.

It's a very rocky piece...like, it doesn't flow very well, but I do like the idea of the poem...

"To End Up What I Could Do."
I'm not entirely sure what you meant by this line. It seems like there are two different ideas in it, try reading it out loud and then rewriting it to clarify your meaning.

I think you could have expanded the symbolism within each of the parts of this poem, but even the thought of breaking the poem up into separate parts/roads of your life was well done. You should attempt to add more creative imagery, as there is plenty to explore along the roads of Darkness and Light.
