Just Another

by Dark Kitten   Sep 24, 2005

Just another day,
As the world pulls away,
From everything that is real,
And becomes numb to the things we feel

Just another hour,
The people turning sour,
Against the things we know,
Where our friend becomes our foe

Just another minute,
Another broken shard stabbed through it,
Stabbed through a heart broken,
Passion of the killer and his token

Just another heart beat,
Drumming up in a street,
Pounding out a rhythm,
None of the world could fathom

Just another soul,
In which the fate of love stole,
Counting out the next few moments,
In which a life will shatter in seconds

Just another death,
Influenced by a drug called meth,
Drowned out by the effects of love in solitude,
Because of another bad feud

Just another person,
Lost in this world of depression,
Thinking of ways to end a barren life,
In such a way the suffering would be brief

Just another fight,
A battle with yourself in the night,
Dark and cold with no one there,
For life has been so very hard to bear
