Never Learn

by Dark Kitten   Sep 26, 2005

In a state of laws,
On long strings like puppet dolls,
A war has taken place,
Between two groups of grace,

Man against man,
Which one to take the stand?
In a bloody game of power,
That lasts way beyond an hour,

In honorable days of worlds,
They used to use broad swords,
To fight the good old fight,
And conquer the other in one night,

Now in fits of jealousy,
They have these weapons of utter stupidity,
They don't kill for what is right,
They just kill to end the fight,

Why learn all the old history,
If the attempts only continue to bring misery?
When people learn pigs will fly,
And I will keel over and most surely die,

Days of long and short recall,
Hope and love have to fall,
Conquer a world yet to prevail,
Just to find out in the end, they will fail.

The last two lines were so hard hitting
War has really changed, people don't respect each other anymore, or who they fight
A very sad and very truthful poem, with a lot that people would like to pretend doesnt happen.
    Great stuff, keep writing =]
