DEVASTATION'S EMPIRE RISING

by Gary Jurechka   Oct 1, 2005

Birds collide with sunlight
over desert oceans,
the glow of energy evaporates
in a shroud of silent screams,
the enemy stays within,
to shred blue dreams with rusty violence,
to erect october walls and
barb-wire clouds
that snare desolate souls
as they flee like
winged rabbits.
