Our Purpose

by Shawn Williams   Oct 2, 2005

There is beauty in the untamed soul
Full of purpose yet knows this great hole
There is beauty in the pain of the past
Shapes or it breaks a great person in half
There is beauty in the darkness of depression
In these times we can find lifes greatest lessons
There is beauty in the loneliness that is life
To love to care when all we receive is strife
There is beauty when we realize we are safe
Under Gods protective arms this which is faith
There is beauty when we realize we are not alone
To realize we are born to purpose infinitely known
There is beauty in the imperfect perfection
People united to heal hurt this is Gods reflection

This was a great poem, i only have to say one thing, it was kinda hard to read, becaue the flow was choppy, i think i might be able to help...
ok..heres a little tip, when u read poetry, there are things called, pauses or breaks, and when u read those, its like...started the line over again, so at those pauses and breaks, start a new line! for example:

    "...There is beauty
    in the untamed soul
    Full of purpose
    yet knows this great hole
    There is beauty
in the pain of the past..."

    I hope that helps!

I really did love the emotion u put into this poem tho, and hopefully i was of help! :) i gave this a 5/5

  • Again, i really liked this, it's well written and i love the messages written into it.

'There is beauty in the darkness of depression
In these times we can find lifes greatest lessons'

I especially liked these two lines, i think there's a lot of depth in them.
