War

by Lara Salomon   Oct 2, 2005

Another day, another time
Another moment passes by
And I am left standing
Watching, waiting on the side.
Another person, another sight
Another wasted human life
And I am left standing
Watching, waiting on the side.
Too many lives are sacrifices
For a cause that no one knows
The whole world needs to suffer
Because of two eternal foes.
Why don't we try to stop it?
Are we really just too blind
To see that it will destroy us
While we just stand here on the side?
Each time I hear a bomb blast
I wonder when it will end
Because I am tired of losing
All my family and friends.
Let's make a stand for freedom
Let us stop this fight
Before more people have to die -
We need to see the light!

This poem really hits all the points that war causes. People don't realize how war makes everyone suffer. And it's all because two countries hate each other. This is a an excellent poem that shows how war makes us suffer. Keep up your wonderful work.
