When we give selfless
love we feel love in return.
The love can be felt
as a parent for a child
or even as a potential friend.
We can feel a love go out
in the form of a greeter
and we can feel the love
come back to us
in the form
of a searcher.
A thank you to a welcome
usually has a conversation
in between.
I greet you in friendship
and allow you in my home.
I welcome you with
a hand outstretched
and feel your hand in mine.
Although selfless in nature
it seems mature
for that is the way
I was welcomed in.
Each welcoming of a new one
with hope brings more hope in.
